Coupon Sources
Well, you've decided your method....now where are those coupons?
You can get coupons from many sources:
Coupons.com
Smartsource.com
Redplum.com
These are commonly used coupon websites.
Your other coupon source is the Sunday newspaper!
The Sunday paper has three types of inserts:
Red Plum
P&G
SmartSource
Occasionally there will be a General Mills coupon insert as well.
The P&G comes once a month, Red Plum and Smart Source usually come in every paper. Although, there are times when there will not be coupons in the paper.
Ok...you know where to get your coupons, here comes the part you probably hadn't considered:
Multiple Inserts!
While one insert might get you 1 $1 off one box of cereal coupon, five papers will get you five coupons for $1 off one box of cereal. Ok, ok, you might think "yeah I knew that"....but when a box of cereal goes on sale for say $0.25 after coupons (yes this happens) you'll want to have as many coupons on hand to get as many of those boxes as you can...also known as "Stocking Up". You'll be very happy when you find that you have 10 coupons for that cereal so you can get 10 boxes for a quarter a piece!
How to get multiple inserts:
There are many ways to get inserts. First, you can just buy the Sunday paper. It might be $1 or $2, but you will save hundreds from that investment. You can ask family and neighbors for their coupon inserts that they don't use (you know, grandpa that reads the paper, then throws it all away...gasp). You can ask co-workers to bring inserts they don't want/don't use. You can split papers with a friend and divide up coupons. I've also heard of people asking Gas Stations for papers they don't sell, and asking Coffee Shops for their used papers before they toss them. Some newspapers will also allow you to purchase a subscription and get extra copies of the Sunday paper. They won't do this in my area, but they may in yours! Personally, I find it easier and faster to just buy a few papers at a $10 investment to save hundreds and get stuff for free!!
